Who supports you?

This month in morning meeting, we discussed our support system. We explained that a support system is kind of like crutches that you use when your leg has been hurt. These crutches help support your feelings and self esteem. We came up with many people who are in our support system: our parents, grandparents, siblings, pets, teachers, friends, and, most importantly, ourselves.

Discuss this idea with your children - who do they turn to when they are upset? How do each of these people help them?

I love the audio blog on support systems. What a great concept to teach! We really enjoyed listening to it and it led to great discussions after with our family! Thanks for sharing!

I agree with everyone in the class about the people who help them in their support system.

I agree with you, Hannah. Everyone did do a good job doing their support system.

I loved hearing everyone's comments. I'll let Grandma know how much she's appreciated!

Ryan - I like yours because I also love dogs. Zachary - my grandma also buys me stuff that I want. Anthony - I love my mom, too. Jacob - I don't have a sister but I have a brother and sometimes when he laughs, I laugh. I loved hearing everyone's messages and maybe I will listen to them and look at the islands again!

Jacob,

I am glad that your sister makes you laugh, and I hope your brother does too.

Jacob, I don't have a sister or a brother but I do have friends that make me laugh like your sister and you make me laugh all the time.

Zachary,
My grandma says I can do anything I want but it has to be safe like watch TV or draw.
